OUSinf is led by a student conductor (elected by auditions in Hilary each year). The new conductor for Trinity 2024 is James Norton - a familiar face on the conducting scene, and a Music student at Hertford.

Where can I buy tickets for the next concert?
Oxford University Sinfonietta (OUSinf) consists of a small group of elite players from Oxford University. OUSinf performs once during each university term, and we specialise in challenging and rarely performed repertoire. The orchestra acts as a platform for young talented players to gain valuable experience, and prepares them for further study at a conservatoire level. OUSinf continues to receive constant praise in local media, and no audience member ever leaves one of our concerts without having experienced something new and exciting.

OUSinf is an auditioning ensemble with auditions primarily taking place at the start of each academic year, as part of the centralised OUMS process. However, we are open to hearing from talented players throughout the year, and if you are interested in getting involved with the orchestra, either as a player or as a committee member, please do get in touch for more information. The orchestra is run by a highly competent group of student volunteers, and we are always on the lookout for new talent!
